The name andesite is adopted from the Andes Mountains. It's because many andesite stones were found near the Andres Mountains. Andesite is a volcanic rock that forms above the ground surface. Andesite is composed of minerals with refined crystal grains. Andesite stones are formed from magma with temperatures between 900-1100 degrees Celsius. The formation of these mineral grains occurs due to the rapid formation of andesite rock from the lava flowing on the earths surface.
Another characteristic of andesite stone is it has fairly dense pores and structure. Environmental and weather conditions can produce dark brown andesite stones. Andesite stone is generally used in the construction of roads, bridges and runways.

Stone Basin Care
- The first and most crucial rule is to wipe down the basin at least once a week using a sponge or soft cloth and a neutral cleaner for the stone itself. Around the plug hole we’d suggest an old toothbrush. It’s this regular cleaning which ensures that soap scum and lime scale don’t have the chance to build up and congeal as that’s when they become tough to remove.
- It’s also important to wipe up any pools of water which form either on the basin top or in the basin as if they sit there for prolonged periods they may create watermarks.
- If you spill a product which could potentially stain, wipe it off immediately before it has a chance to sink into the stone and become ingrained. Examples of products which could stain are coffee, tea, red wine, nail polish remover, some self-tan lotions and, at the risk of stating the obvious, hair dye.
- Remember that natural stone is exactly that: it’s natural and doesn’t have a great relationship with acids, bleach and alcohol or any harsh products, including lime scale removers and abrasive products. All these should definitely be avoided.
- One of the great properties of stone is that it stands up to hard wear and tear, so you can use a scrubbing brush without fear of causing damage, however please don’t use steel wool or scouring pads.
- Sealing your stone vessel sink is an important step in maintaining the stone's beauty over time. Natural stone is porous which means it can stain if certain products are left on the surface for an extended period of time. Do not use plumbers putty or oil-based sealers. These products will stain the stone if applied near the surface of the polished basin. There are two ways to seal your sink — with wax or one of the many stone sealing products available. Stone sealers should typically be applied once a year. If you prefer to wax your sink, you will want to do this at least once a month.
Returns Policy
We understand the importance of customer satisfaction and therefore products may at Early Settler's discretion be returned to us for exchange or a store credit note within seven (7) days of full payment and collection/delivery of the goods, provided all the following conditions are met:
- A receipt as proof of purchase of ownership may be required by Early Settler to be produced.
- Returned goods are received in a re-saleable condition, including any packaging if possible
- Goods are returned to the location they were originally purchased from or an alternative pre-arranged location.
For online and store purchases not viewed in a showroom prior to delivery, they can be returned for a full refund (less any delivery cost) within 7 days of receiving/collecting the product/s. The above conditions will still need to be met.

Yes, but don’t leave it too long. You can cancel your online order and receive a full refund, provided the delivery process has not commenced. If your order has already been sent to the collection point or delivery depot, a 20% cancellation fee may apply to cover transfer and restocking costs.
Yes absolutely! We pride ourselves on delivering quality craftsmanship made for your home, so if you're not completely satisfied with your order when it arrives we're happy to assist with a return.
As an extension to your consumer rights, you can return your online order to us within 7 days of receiving it for a full refund of the product price, not including shipping.
If the return is due to a change in mind, please also make the return within 7 days of obtaining your order.
Returns under $500 will be refunded via the same method of payment. For refunds of a greater value will need to be processed by our customer service team which you can contact at customerservice@livemora.live. For all refunds, we require a proof of purchase (invoice number), be in new or unused condition, and with the original packaging if possible. Even if your order has been assembled, we'll accept it as a return if in saleable condition. If the returns criteria are not met we may refuse a return or offer an exchange or credit voucher alternatively.
When making a return you will need to pay for the shipping back to us, but you can avoid this by returning your order to your nearest Early Settler store free of charge where our friendly team will be happy to arrange a refund, store credit or exchange in-store. If you are returning an order to your nearest Early Settler store the refund may need to be processed by our online orders team, this can take 2-3 business days.

Please contact us! We want you to be completely satisfied with your order, so if you believe your item is faulty, please contact us within 7 days of your delivery or collection.
You have the right to reject the delivery if it is damaged on arrival.
